Welcome to all of our Viewers

Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me. (NLT: John 14 v 6)
There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.” (NLT v 12)(/i)

As we negotiate the contents of this blog the intention is that we gain a deeper understanding of those momentous texts

"Salvation at His Cross" was inspired by the need for those of retirement age to stay active in God’s Kingdom. I once read that "there is no retirement plan in the Kingdom of God," implying that there is work to be done by all age groups wherever He chooses to shepherd His people.

One truth we must establish is that the gifts He gives us are for the long haul—whatever that may look like for each individual. In my own experience, I have been interested in website design for many years. Now, in my early eighties, I find myself designing and managing this very endeavour.

God wants to use all of us, as evidenced by the gifts He has lavished upon us over the years. An example I often quote is Joni Eareckson Tada. At just 17 years old, Joni dived into shallow water and severed her spinal cord. Today, in her mid-seventies, she remains a quadriplegic in a wheelchair.

In spite of her disability, she founded Joni and Friends, a global ministry serving the disabled community. She is an acclaimed mouth artist and radio host who has inspired millions through her faith and advocacy—even contributing to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). To this day, she remains active in the management of these ministries.

That is a remarkable act to follow. However, with the knowledge that Jesus is the only Savior, and with Joni’s example as inspiration, I view the Cross as our "call to arms." I hope this website becomes a tool that moves those who do not know Jesus to find Him, while encouraging those who may have prematurely laid down their calling to realise that God still has more to do through them.
